Homemade Facial Toner

By The Petite Plantation - November 18, 2017

I've been wanting to create my own facial toner for sometime and I think I have nailed the recipe! I love the effects of store bought toner but they we harsh, over drying and probably have terrible things in them. And since I signed up for the essential oil train, I knew I need to modify my recipe for the better and to focus more on the health of my skin rather than just evening skin tone. This is my third version of a homemade toner and it is the best one yet!

You will need a misting spray bottle, filtered water, and the following ingredients:

Raw Apple Cider Vinegar

  • contains AHA's which remove dead skin cells to reveal subtle fresh skin
  • the malic acid make ACV antibacterial, antifungal, and antiviral
  • helps balance your skin pH level

Sea Salt

  • contains potassium, magnesium, calicum and sodium which are all essential for skin health

Patchouli Essential Oil

  • emotional grounding and balancing
  • helps skin recovery quickly
  • reduces the appearance of wrinkles, stretch marks and scars

To make your own facial toner add these to a 2oz misting or spray bottle:

1/2 teaspoon of sea salt
1/2 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar
8 drops of Patchouli Essential Oil
fill with warm filtered water and shake to mix.

I use two sprays each day following my Facial Massage & Cleansing on my face, neck and chest area. Be careful not to get it in your eyes. You can get Patchouli Essential Oil here. But if you are thinking of purchasing essential oils, get the pure stuff!
