Headache Roller Blend

January 03, 2018
We have this huge winter storm headed our way and I have had this annoying headache since yesterday so I created this roller blend and it has helped with tremendously with the 'head tension' and 'discomfort' I am having today. Of course, I want to share it with you all because headaches are as common as bees on sunflowers!

I have suffered and endured headaches and migraines frequently throughout my life and believe most of them are caused by the weather but there are all kinds of reasons why we get headaches, I've listed a few below:

  • dehydration
  • anxiety
  • excessive bright light
  • excessive noise
  • unbalanced diet
  • side effects from medication
  • lack of sleep
  • exertion from too much exercise
  • bad posture inhibiting blood flow
  • unbalanced hormones, read more about how to balance hormones here.
  • food senstivities
  • change of pressure in the environment

This blend helped me within 2 minutes but because there are a lot of oils in this blend, I don't recommend using this on children or the elderly and of course do your own research!

Also, if you aren't using Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade essential oils, it is likely this blend will not be as effective. Quality matters! A lot of brands you buy in supermarkets or grocery stores have additives, fillers, preservatives and other junk which aren't great for your health and inhibit the effectiveness of essential oils. To get any of these CPTG oils, shop here but to save 25% on them, read this post!

Headache Relief Roller Blend

LAVENDER | calming, soothing, lessens feelings of tension.

EUCALYPTUS | helps to lessen anxiousness & support a healthy inflammation response.

ROSEMARY | helps to relieve nervous tension & fatigue.

PEPPERMINT | very cooling and helps to relieve tension.

FRANKINCENSE | restoring and boosts effectiveness of the other oils.

LEMONGRASS | soothes tension and uplifts mood.

To make the roller blend, simply put 10 drops of each into a 10ml roller ball bottle and top with fractionated coconut oil. Apply every three hour to your temples or the back of your neck. Again, I wouldn't use this on children, sensitive skin or on the elderly because there skin is more sensitive and there is a lot of concentrated goodness in there. Be sure to drink lots of water!
